CONNECTIONS Cover Design Contest

All entries must be received in the Farm Bureau office by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021.

Our CONNECTIONS Magazine Cover Design Contest for 1st-5th grades ties closely to our Ag in the Classroom (AITC) program and is a great way to assess student learning about food and farming! The grand prize winning design will appear as the front cover of the June 2021 issue of DeKalb County Farm Bureau CONNECTIONS magazine, received by over 6,000 families.

Each grade range (1st-2nd and 3rd-5th) has a different theme. Following the Ag in the Classroom lesson or another ag literacy lesson, students will illustrate what they learned by creating their designs.

Members of our Agricultural Literacy Committee serve as the judging panel, choosing first through third place winners and honorable mention recipients for each grade level. The grand prize winner is chosen by Farm Bureau magazine staff.

The CONNECTIONS Magazine Cover Design Contest replaced the placemat design contest held in past years. The following images are recent winners of the placemat contest. Teachers, please note that entries for the magazine cover design contest must be oriented vertically rather than horizontally as seen below.
